Villency’s grandfather, Maurice Villency, was the person to inaugurate the furniture company “Villency Design Group” back in 1932. Back in 1998, Eric was named as the CEO of the company. In 2001, Eric launched “Maurice Villency flagship store” that was based in midtown of Manhattan. Later, he also launched his first accessories collection.
Later, in 2006, he launched a workshop “VillencyAelier” that was dedicated to the entire professional designer. After two years, he started a new business for the business service “Villency Contract”. Moreover, with the starting of a new business, he promoted his several design products. He even contributed to the SoulCycle development which is an indoor fitness cycle.
Moreover, besides his designing career, he is a Television personality. He is famous for appearing as the guest on the shoes like “Today Show”, “Good Morning America”, “Travel Channel”, “The Tyra Banks” show and more. He was also the host of the Fine Living Channel’s iDesign. Recently, he produced and hosted the documentary INSEAM that records the emerging fashion designers.

After an amicable split in the year 2009, the couple now shares joint custody of the son Ronan.
