John Grisham was born on February 8, 1955, to father John Ray Grisham and mother Wanda Grisham. His father worked as a construction worker and cotton farmer just like John’s grandfather. Meanwhile, his mother was a homemaker. John was born as the second child among the five siblings. He follows Christianity and describes it to be the most important thing in his life. During school days he worked in a nursery, plumbing sector, asphalt crew and salesclerk in a department store as a child.

He attended Northwest Mississippi community college before joining Delta state University in Clevland. During his college days, Grisham changed three colleges before graduating with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Mississippi state university.

John’s son works in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Bar Association and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was also a member of the UVA baseball team and attended law school at the University of Mississippi. Ty graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2009.
