Kate Rorke Bassich was born in 1956. She holds the American nationality and belongs to White American ethnicity. Since her childhood days she was interested in the field of research so she first went as a tourist and stayed in Alaska for about 12 years for her research.

Career

Kate is famous for being the lead caste of the national geographic hit documentary show Life Below Zero. The show describes the lives of people living in remote areas of Alaska. Together with her husband, Andy, she used to run a survival and dog mushing school named ventures.

Personal Life

Kate was married to Andy Bassich. In 2003 the duo first met with each other in Dawson City, Alaska. The couple dated for several years before their marriage and were together for twelve years even after their marriage.

They used to stay in Alaska during the show Life Below Zero. It was living off the grid and the couple used to like the lifestyle there.

At every early morning in bed, they were served with hot drinks and evenings used to be great as both of them used to spend their time together. In between, his husband used to gather wood for the fire and collect water from the river under the hunt and ice. He used to run solar powers and do several projects.

In 2016 Kate divorced Andy claiming him to be abusive. She was forced to face verbal and emotional abuses so she decided ultimately to leave everything forever. After being separated from her husband she quit her job at Life Before Zero.
