Marc Ribot was born on May 21, 1954, in Newark, New Jersey. Further, he grew up in the Montrose section of South Orange. Ribot’s first session was Rain Dogs (1985) with Tom Waits. Later, he also appeared in Franks Wild Years(1987), Big Time (1988), Mule Variations (1990), Bad as Me (2011), etc. Further, he published two albums featured the Rootless Cosmopolitans with Frantz Casseus solo guitar. Moreover, he also trio with bassist Henry Grimes and drummer Chad Talyor of Chicago Underground. Back in 2018, Ribot released a Song of Resistance: 1942-2018  with 11 songs which based on American and Mexican battels. His biographical documentary film was released in 2007.
