Nick Young was born as Nicholas Aaron Young on 1st June 1985, in Los Angeles, California. He was born to his father, Charles Young Sr. and mother, Mae Young and grew up with his sibling Charles Young Jr and John Young. He holds an American nationality and belongs to Afro-American ethnicity.

Young attended Cleveland High School and later went to the University of Southern California.

Career:

Young began his basketball career during his school days. As a senior at high school, he averaged 27.2 points and 10.8 rebounds, earning 2004 CIF L.A. City Section, Los Angeles Times All-City and San Fernando Valley first team honors. Following that, he played for the University of Southern California where he remained for three-year.

Young started his professional career, joining Washington Wizards in 2007 and made his debut on 15th December 2007, against the Sacramento Kings. In 2010, he was fined $10K by his team for participating in Gilbert Arenas’s amusing behavior before a game against Philadelphia 76ers. Before leaving the Washington Wizards, he scored career-high-43 points.

Young was transferred to Philadelphia 76ers for a one-year deal after a short spell at Los Angeles Clippers in 2012. He was traded to an American professional basketball team Los Angeles Lakers on 11th July 2013. Later, he renewed his contract with the team to a reported four-year, $21.5 million deal. He moved to Golden State Warriors on 7th July 2017, where he was awarded 2018 NBA CHampion. He left the club in 2018.
