Nicklin started her high school in Danbury but could not continue because her parents moved to Ridgefield, Connecticut. During her high school, Sarah participated in many school plays, poetry readings which later paved the way for her in films. Not only plays and poems, but she had also a keen interest in sports and was a very good athletic during her school days.

Sarah played in Gothia Cup soccer tournament and was the first female pole vaulter at her school. After taking some gap, she joined Emerson College and graduated with a BA in Theatre, Marketing, and Psychology.

Before starting out in films, Sarah worked as a Bank Teller at Fairfield County Bank. Nicklin worked at the Bank for a couple of years and joined Emerson College. There at the college, she appeared in her first short film, La Bolsa.

Sarah is the queen of Indie Horror movies and in 2007 and made her debut with Brotherhood a tv series. Nicklin played in many Indie movies in her career and in 2008 she featured in Nun of That. After that Sarah did not look back and went on to feature in many movies.
