Wright made his feature film in 1995, a spoof of a western movie. The movie A Fistful of Fingers which was released on limited theatres. After the movie comedians, Matt Lucas and David Walliams chose him to direct Mash and Peas.

Edgar collaborated with Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes in 1998 tv show Spaced. It caught the eye of the people because Spaced had the unusual look for a sitcom genre. It had dramatic camera angles and movement like in science fiction, and horror films. The show was a success and after that Simon and Edgar never turned back.

They made a movie called Shaun of the Dead which is to the date the best Zombie movie ever to be made. It had the mix style of Romantic comedy with the horror twist of George A. Romero and Sam Raimi. The movie became an international hit and the combination of Simon, Nick, and Edgar went on to make Hot Fuzz.

After that Edgar made Scott Pilgrim vs the World but it did not work at the box office. The movie, however, was highly praised by the directors like Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, and Jason Reitman. He also wrote screenplays for movies. Edgar wrote Steven Spielberg‘s The Adventure of Tintin together with Joe Cornish and Steven Moffat.

Ant-Man, Baby Driver, and His Style of Directing

Edgar Wright together with Joe Cornish developed Marvel Comics superhero Ant-Man since 2006. Wright did not direct the movie nor became involved in the movie later in 2014. There was a lot of creative differences with Edgar and the production company regarding the movie so’ he walked out of the project.

Later Peyton Reed directed the movie and Edgar and Joe Cornish were given credit in the movie. After Ant-Man in July 2014, Edgar teamed up with Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, Jamie Foxx for the new movie Baby Driver. The movie is a mixture of crime, action, music, and sound.
