Kulp graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 1943. Moreover, she continued her studies for a master’s degree in English and French at the University of Miami.

During World War II, Kulp left the University of Miami to join the women’s branch of the United States Naval Reserve in 1944. Later, she obtained the rank of lieutenant and received several honors while serving in the American Campaign Medal. Then, she was honorably discharged from the Reserve in 1946.

Nancy Kulp began her career in the romantic comedy movie, The Model and the Marriage Broker where she acted as Hazel Gingras in 1951. She also featured in many films including The Marrying Kind, Steel Town, and many others. Later, she portrayed her last role in the adventure movie, The Aristocats.

Kulp made her guest appearance in the American anthology television series, Lux Video Theatre as Daisy in 1954. She also appeared as Pamela Livingston on The Bob Cummings Show from 1955 to 1959. Furthermore, she starred in the crime drama series, CHiPs with Larry Wilcox and Clarence Gilyard in 1979.

Nancy Kulp tied the knot with Charles Malcolm Dacus on 1st April 1951, in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The couple exchanged their wedding vows in the presence of their close friends and families. Kulp was very private when it comes to her personal life. So, there is no information on how and when the couple met. There were some rumors about her husband Dacus who was supposed to be gay.
