While working in an American television sitcom, Cybill, she admitted herself into a hospital as she felt mildly ill. Her recurring role in the sitcom as Cybill Shepard’s mother became her last ever role to perform. Sadly, on October 16, 1997, she took her last breathe at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Later, the cause of her death was stated to be the disease named leukaemia.
