Garrett Warren was married to retired actress, Claudia Haro in 1998. They had a daughter named Kaylie together. However, the couple decided to part their ways in 1999. Next, the two were battling each other on the court for the custody of their daughter. Garret won the custody that drove Claudia angry.

Claudia with the help of her brother, Manuel Haro hired a hitman for $10,000. The hitman was given Garrett Warren’s picture and map of his house. In May 2000, Garrett got a knock on his door. When he responded to the door, the man asked Warren, if it was his car in the driveway. Garrett explained the event saying:

I said, ‘Yeah, that’s my car.’ So I open the door and peeked my head outside to see if my car had been hit. “And when I did, he had a gun down by his right side by his right leg and he picked it up and started shooting at me.”

Garrett was shot four times with a point 32 ACP on his chest, neck, and his left hip. Again the man shot him while he was lying down in his right eyes that made him blind. Warren’s mother heard the fired shots and came to look out what had happened, the hitman shot two fires her ways that nearly hit her head.

Later, in 2005, Claudia was arrested on the charges of attempted murder and principal firearm charge for the attempted murder of Garrett Warren and sentenced to 12 years and four months imprisonment at California Institution for Women in Corona, California.
