The Fashion Designer married Giada on May 25, 2003. Todd met his future wife a long time back, however, how they meet each other is still a question. Giada is a host of an American Food show ‘Giada at Home’.

Not just that, De Laurentiis is also a businesswoman and is the founder of GDL Foods. The couple probably met each other through a common friend or at a party. But what we do know is they felt an instant connection with each other upon the meeting.

After some period of dating, they decided to take each other’s relationship to the next level. Todd proposed Giada and asked her to marry him. We can guess their wedding was an intimate affair as there are not many details about the event.

Giada and Todd exchanged the wedding vows to each other in front of close friends, family members, and relatives. From their eleven years of marriage, the couple welcomed one child, a daughter.

After five years of marriage, the blissful moment of the birth of the couple first child came. Jade Marie De Laurentiis, the duo’s the only daughter was born on March 29, 2008. The name Jade resembles ‘Giada’ which is an Italian name.

As per De Laurentiis, she does not want any more children and is very happy with Jade. Giada said,

“I have so many babies: the show, Jade, and Todd.”

After eleven years of marriage, the pair decided to stay separately from each other in 2014. Furthermore, their divorce was also quite expensive.

Thompson and his wife decided to separate after a decade long marriage affair. However, the reason for their divorce is unknown. Giada took to her Facebook to announce the sad ending of their beautiful relationship. She said,

“After an amicable separation since July, Todd and I have decided to end our marriage. Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to move forward.”

De Laurentiis went on to thank her family and friends after that. The couple is still good friends and reunites for their daughter. Giada earning more in the family had to lose more in the divorce settlement. She pays $9,000 per month in child support, a $3.2 million mansion in Pacific Palisades, and $300,000 of art and furnishing.
