Life before Fame

Jeffrey Wright was born on December 7, 1965, in Washington, D.C., to a mother, a customs lawyer. He attended St Albans School and later completed his bachelors’ degree in political science from Amherst College. Jeffrey has planned to study further but started to grow passion in the field of acting. Nevertheless, he attended Newyork university to study law but dropped out to become an actor.

However, during his time at Newyork, Jeffrey joined an acting school to learn acting. Later he joined Off-Broadway theatre, a professional venue based in Manhattan. Luckily after doing lots of theatrics acts, he got his first major film as an attorney in Presumed Innocent, which starred Harrison Ford. At that time, his role was of merely a minute. Despite this, he continued chasing for films and eventually started getting a role in other movies.

Jeffrey’s current relationship status is single. For now, he is engaged for the new project HBO series West world as the role of Bernard Lowe.

However, at one time, Jeffrey was married to British actress Carmen Ejogo. The couple tied the knot in August 2000 in a private ceremony among the close ones, including his mother. The then couple also starred together in a movie Boycott. They used to live together in Brooklyn Newyork.

After several ups and downs, they decided to part their ways with mutual consent. Their divorce was finalized in 2014. Despite their separation, they support and admire each other.
