The actor has done MFA in Performing Arts in National Theatre Conservatory in Denver. He also has a double degree in political science and French from Wesleyan University.

Behlmann is a married man. He recently took his wedding vows with his girlfriend LJ Wright who is a dresser on February 29,2020. They met each other in 2018 during the pre broadway run of musical comedy Tootsie as LJ was also one of the members in it. After dating for about a year they decided to be together forever and got engaged on January 31, 2020.

Their wedding took place at Maiella, an Italian restaurant with their families and very few friends. LJ loves hairstyling that’s why her hair color keeps on changing frequently. Before he met LJ there was a rumor of him dating Ashley Austin Morris who was his on-screen match in the movie Dead Sound. Since both of them never confirmed their relationship the rumor vanished.
