Liam Charles was born in Hackney, East London, the United Kingdom, on August 28, 1997. Liam studied Drama and Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths, a University in London. He was a big fan of baking since the age of fifteen. Charles says that his mother made him interested in baking. Liam used to bake for his university friends and after noticing his love for baking, they nicknamed him “Cake Boy.”

Moreover, Liam holds a close relationship with his family. His mother, grandmother, and nephews continuously appear in his vlogs. Liam’s younger nephew also finds him cool. Also, Liam once mentioned that his grandma used to help him buy flours and baking essentials while he was in college. 

Fame Through a Baking Competition

Liam Charles got the public attention as a contestant of The Great British Bake Off in the year 2017. Unfortunately, he left the show on its eight weeks. Right after his graduation from college, he landed with a job in his interested field. Again, in 2018, Charles was selected to co-present Bake Off: The Professionals alongside the famous comedian, Tom Allen.

In November of 2018, he presented in his own show ‘Liam Bakes’. As of 2020, Liam is the judge of the show ‘Junior Bake Off’ along with Prue Leith. Furthermore, Liam has also written and published two cookbooks, ‘Cheeky Treats 70 Brilliant Bakes and Cakes’ in 2018 and ‘Second Helpings’ in 2019. He also writes weekly articles on baking for ‘The Guardian’.

Personal Life

Is Liam Charles single?

The answer is, no. Liam seems to be in a relationship with Alexis Beauregard. Alexis is a dance choreographer and graduated from UCLA. Liam is very private about his personal life and does not post much about his girlfriend but, he did bless our eyes with a cute picture of the couple on Instagram.

He captioned the picture calling her “octagon head”. Kind of adorable, don’t you think?

The couple is constantly out on dinner dates. They are also accompanied by their friends.
