Robin Roberts was born as Robin Rene Roberts on 23rd November 1960, in Tuskegee, a city in Macon County, Alabama, United States. She is an American by her nationality and her ethnic background is Native American. Her father, Lawrence E. Roberts was a pilot with the Tuskegee Airmen and a colonel in the United States Air Force and her mother, Lucimarian Roberts, a homemaker. Unfortunately, her mother died in August of 2012 at the age of 88. Robin has three older siblings, Sally-Ann, Lawrence, Jr. (nicknamed as Butch), and Dorothy Roberts.
